John Wenger is a Legislative Advocate with more than 12 years of experience in both government relations and public affairs. In his current position, Mr. Wenger primarily represents clients within the health care, education, insurance, energy, and transportation sectors. He has also developed an expertise in the state budget process.

Prior to joining SHJ, Mr. Wenger spent three years working in public affairs where he led corporate public relations efforts, grassroots and issue advocacy campaigns, and various other outreach initiatives to local and state officials. Mr. Wenger also assisted in coalition and media outreach efforts for two statewide ballot measures.

Mr. Wenger graduated from California State University, Chico with a degree in Political Science and Public Administration, and completed a Master’s of Science in Law (M.S.L) degree at University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
